Butler Community Centre provides a Community Centre with associated amenities and services for the people of the Sacred Heart Parish, St. Butler Community Centre will contribute to a positive community spirit, and improve the health and economic vitality of its citizens. This will be achieved by providing facilities for training and education, cultural activities, recreational and sporting activit
ies and developing a Centre that is a safe space, inclusive and democratic, and the focal point of community activities in the area. a) We will provide a Centre that is accessible to all, young and old, and to people of varying abilities and disabilities. b) We will position the Centre as a welcoming and affordable venue for all-community celebrations, occasions and traditions. c) We will promote the Centre as a driver of local economic activity being an affordable and convenient place for people to meet and share ideas, which will contribute to the continued revitalization and enhancement of our community. d) We will recruit, train and support volunteers to take an active part in our community activities, whose energy and passion will add value to the work we undertake. e) We will encourage our citizens to take an active role in the development of their community Centre, being a source of personal pride, enrichment, and a coming together around common needs. f) We will support our young people by providing them with a safe place to visit; an oasis of hope that facilitates the building of new relationships, and an environment which helps them to remain on a positive path, thus contributing to the betterment of their overall health and well-being. g) We will conduct feasibility studies and market research, and share public information, as part of a collaborative process of long-term investment with large diversities of people from within the community. h) Butler Community Centre is compliant with the Charities Governance Code
