Well… the cat’s out of the bag. 🐱🎶

Our first song of the Mixed Tape term is…

🔥 JOLENE — Dolly Parton 🔥

Because honestly… how could we NOT?!

We did this song back in '21/22 🤔
It was supposed to be the last song of last term for our "Americana" theme but we didn't get round to it.

This time (sadly) we're DOING IT FOR DOLLY, in memory of an icon of Americana and Country music . A singer who brought these 'not so cool ' genres at the time to the world stage with a finesse and talent that made her the legend she is. 🩷

🎬 PART 2 — which is actually PART 1!

Did you see the mash-up last week?
Now you know how it happened… 👀👇

This is actually where the story begins… 👀

Last week we showed you the ending — our improvised mash-up of Red Chord x Star Star.

Well… THIS is where it all started! 😂

Just 1.5 hours before taking it to the streets, we brought together Harmania choir members, local musicians and singers, guests — and fans to learn Red Chord as fast as our little brains and voices could manage ⚡️🎶

And massive KUDOS to everyone involved — seriously! 👏👏
Learning a song this quickly, putting it together with a whole bunch of people, and then having the confidence to get out there and perform it is no small feat!

No endless rehearsals.
No overthinking.
Just listen, learn, sing… GO! 😂🔥

And somehow, as the song developed, it transformed into the improvised Red Chord x Star Star mash-up you saw last week.

A huge thank you to our musicians who indulged in the chaos with us !
