Over the weekend we took in another lovely leabhair from an Irish author. .j.murphy4 has created three wonderful books written for ages 9 and up about the fantastical world of Athrow.

Tj illustrates the second two books himself as well as writing the wonderful story.

If you have any younger readers who love a good fantasy world maybe this book is for you!

I was so excited to get stuck in to this delivery from Lilypod - Handmade with Love our newest stockist!

Ellie brought in some of her gorgeous wax melts (not yet photographed) and some of her gorgeous shower steamers. If you (like me) do not have a bath and feel left out of the whole bath bomb thing then these are for you!

Pop one in your shower tray and enjoy the gorgeous smell that follows. Wake up in the morning with peppermint and eucalyptus. Relax before bed with lavender and orange. And give yourself a little boost with lemongrass and ginger.

These little babies give you two uses in your shower and will make it feel a little more luxurious.

Today is a very bookish day in the shop. I have been trying to find some more books penned here in Ireland and two of the gorgeous books I found happened arrive on the same day (or at least get unpacked) .

Two vastly different books, Laments and Maladies is written by Seaghán de Paor , an author who hails from waterford and has created an anthology of poems and short stories based in a dark, sorrowful land called Ardann. It leans heavily into the fantastical and the folklore and fatalism of old Ireland.

"A lament for the lost , cursed, and the ones who keep walking long after hope has gone cold"

Our second book couldn't beore different. Loved just the same is a gorgeous, rhyming kids book created by Aisling De Barra to help children understand all the different shapes a family can take, be it one parent, two parents of the same gender, step parents and siblings and more. The illustrations are created by Rick Tyler and this book is a happy, colourful way to explain how loved kids are and how special families of all shapes and sizes are.
