The curtain has closed on yet another . A huge thanks to Charlie Coad who made his debut on the decks and made it look like second nature. We'd better book a return slot before his agent Jay Kay starts sending invoices for services rendered. Jason showed he's no slouch when it comes to selecting some top class vinyl cuts for his set. More please. Louis and Brian topped and tailed the evening with their customary aplomb.
It was nice of the lads from Coalville Rugby Club to drop in to say hello early doors. Hope ye enjoyed your trip to the Déise.

Our friends in Met Éireann have confirmed that we have a rain free day to look forward to tomorrow. So, let there be no fudging or shilly-shallying, do yourselves a favour and join us in Henry Downes & Co on Vinyl Friday 28.08.26 for our monthly vinyl ceiluradh. The decks will be warmed-up and ready to roll from 8.30pm, so we'll let the music do the talking from then on.

We're delighted to unveil a very select lineup this month with the trio of Coad, Moore and Quinlan making the case for vinyl lovers everywhere by spinning some stone cold classics, red hot tunes and the odd guilty pleasure or two. Senior partners Brian and Louis are chomping at the bit to show off some of the vinyl goodies they managed to squirrel away into their carryon luggage coming back from their holiday villas on the Amalfi coast. They will be joined on the night by Charlie Coad who is making his debut. Charlie has promised to pull a surprise or two from his vinyl valise, so Brian and Louis better stay focused and ease up on the sherry and foie gras.

Vinyl Friday 28.08.26 gets underway in Henry Downes & Co on Friday next at 8.30pm.

Oh what a night. A huge thanks to our five guest spinners who staged a takeover of the decks in Downes' last night. The needle dropped at 8.30pm and there was no let up until the wee small hours. For those of you who couldn't make it, here's a brief sample of the playlist. An added bonus was that Hannah and Aidan were still smiling at the end of their sound clash 😁

We can't wait to have Aidan, Hannah, Jim, Joe and Michael back bossing the decks in the near future.

We can't have a Sound Clash with a name clash. Humblest apologies to Aidan O'Sullivan for mixing him up with a certain horse trainer. If only we had the jacuzzi up and running we could have offered Aidan the first dip in the hot tub time machine by way of recompense. Thanks be to god we didn't go ahead with the billboard campaign.
