In October 1980, four men, at the end of a night shift looked into putting on a show or pantomime involving people from Portlaw.

A public meeting was held, a committee was elected and Portlaw Musical Society was born!! 32 years later and we continue to go from strength to strength as the baton is passed from generation to generation.

🎭 Portlaw Musical Society AGM 🎭

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Wednesday 9th September at 7.30pm in the Premier Hall, Portlaw.

All members and new members are very welcome to attend. It’s a great opportunity to look back on the past year, discuss what’s ahead and have your say in the future of the Society.

We’d love to see as many as possible there! Come along and join us.

Portlaw Musical Society extends our deepest sympathies to our members Fred and Lisa, Sarah, Emily and Lauren, and Monica on the sad passing of your beloved mother and grandmother, Monica.

Monica and her late husband Fred, one of our founder members, gave so much of their time, dedication and support to our society over the years, and their contribution will always be remembered with gratitude.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all of the extended Kelly family at this incredibly difficult time. May Monica rest in peace, reunited with Fred once again.

The countdown is well and truly on, and we can't wait to welcome everyone to what promises to be a fantastic day for our club and community.

🏑🏐 Exhibition games from our GAA, Camogie and LGFA teams from 1:00pm – 6:00pm
🔥 Delicious food, refreshments and plenty of entertainment throughout the day

🎨🎈 Lots of activities to keep the younger supporters entertained

What an unforgettable night at the Portlaw Junior Musical Society Summer Show! 🎭✨

A huge thank you to our wonderful audience for your incredible support, applause, and encouragement throughout the show. Your presence meant so much to every child who stepped on stage.

To our amazing children — you were simply outstanding. Your talent, confidence, energy, and smiles lit up the stage and made us all so proud. 💛

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated committee, teachers, choreographers, and volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make this production possible.

Special thanks also to our lighting and sound team for creating such a magical atmosphere and helping every moment shine so brightly. 🎤🎶💡
