Martina is the Director of 'Smile Handsome'.
She is delighted to be directing a one-act drama as part of this year’s Waterford Drama Society Springboard initiative.

Meet the Cast: Lindsey Kirby.
Lindsey plays Top Dog in Smile Handsome.

This is Lindsey’s first time treading the boards with Waterford Dramatic Society but hopefully not her last! Lindsey studied French and Drama in college where she
performed in many plays as part of her course and was an enthusiastic member of
Players Theatre in Trinity College back in the day.

She went on to teach Speech and Drama in Dublin where she lived for many years. She is currently a Primary School Teacher in St Ursula’s Primary School. Since returning home she has been on stage in the Portlaw Panto and most recently performed in The Addams Family with the Tramore Musical Society.

Lindsey is thoroughly enjoying being on stage again and being part of this Springboard experience and feels privileged to be working with such a fabulous director, cast and crew.

Meet the cast: Bryan Costello.

Bryan Costello is an actor and performer currently based in Waterford.

He has acted in various regional productions and his first appearance with Waterford Dramatic Society was as ‘Lane’ in The Importance of Being Earnest in 2023. Our 90th production of Big Maggie in 2025 saw Bryan take on the challenge of playing Big Maggie’s son 'Mick Polpin'.

This time around will find him multi-tasking as his talents as stage manager and playing the part of Pascal in our second play. He is delighted to be working alongside the abundance of talent in the new and familiar faces of the cast.

He is confident that everyone in attendance will thoroughly enjoy both these One Act performances!
