OLAV TRYGVASSON COMES TO LIFE 🔥

At the end of April, we were visited by and in Waterford City where we hosted the second traunch of group workshops for Our Viking Heritage project, funded by .

Next week, we’ll be taking to the promenade in Sandefjord to bring the story of Olav Trygvasson to life through music, song, dance, acrobatics, fights and more ✨

Throwback to some of our rehearsals in Waterford City, we can’t wait for what comes next!

The purpose of this adventure? To reconnect Europeans to our shared history of Viking migration and culture, retelling stories for the modern day and correcting the record when it comes to who the Vikings were ✨

Quick throwback to April in Sandefjord where we visited with for our first rehearsal 🤌

We are grateful to have been part of this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg, celebrating a full day of creativity, collaboration, and young artistic talent across Waterford.

A special thank you to Waterford Gallery of Art for hosting the launch of the ‘Exquisite Corpse’ window display, showcasing the imagination and collective work of young artists from Little Red Kettle, Waterford Youth Arts, and Waterford Youth Reach.

We were delighted to bring Living Art to life, with our young performers reimagining iconic artworks through costume and performance at both the gallery and Waterford Central Library. It was a joy to see these pieces transformed and experienced in a new way.

Our 9 –11 and 12 –14 drama groups recently took to the stage at The Arch. The 9 –11 group performed Potassium, a lively kids’ comedy crime, while the 12 –14 group presented Incompetence!, a short murder mystery piece entirely written, developed, and performed by the group themselves.
Packed with kooky characters and delightfully chaotic storytelling, Incompetence! featured everything from noir detectives to sobbing widows.
A huge thank you to everyone who brought Incompetence! and Potassium to life, our talented young performers, and all the families and friends who came along to support. Your energy and humour, made these performances an absolute joy to watch.
