The Waterford Youth Arts team is delighted to inform you that our production of Romeo and Juliet was shortlisted five times in four different categories as part of the Waterford News & Star - Green Room Awards 2022.

The categories and nominees are as follows

Best Director (Play) – Jim Nolan
Best Supporting Actress – Mary O’Donoghue as ‘Mercutio’
Best Youth Performances – Charlie Meagher as ‘Romeo’
Best Youth Performances – Devlyn Lonergan as ‘Juliet’
Best Set – Romeo and Juliet at Wyse Park by Dermot Quinn

Charlie and Devlyn will also be involved in our new production Remote, so come along and check out the play when its performed in Garter Lane Arts Centre on the 20th and the 21st of April at 8pm.

Next project from Waterford Youth Arts is from a portfolio of specially commissioned plays from the National Theatre, London. REMOTE by Stef Smith directed by Deirdre Dwyer will be presented in the spring Garter Lane Arts Centre and Lyric Theatre Belfast.

Disappointing news. .

Romeo & Juliet directed by Jim Nolan has again fallen prey to weather . .

The event site was made unsafe by rain and in the interest of safety tonight's performance has had to be CANCELLED.

We apologise to everyone for any disappointment caused, but the safety of cast, crew and our audience is paramount.
