Today I managed to pop in for the last day of the weekend of events celebrating the 275 year anniversary since the founding of villierstown.

First of all well done to all involved in The Villierstown church community group, who organized the events including the beautiful and informative exhibition going into the history of Villierstown.

It was lovely getting to see the exhibit and I absolutely adored getting to see the stained glass windows of the church (I love me some stained glass windows!) I even got to see how the piece they commissioned from me fit into the exhibit. So thanks a million again to Christy and co. for trusting me with their project. I'll do a detailed post of the featured piece in the next day or two.

In the meantime congratulations to all involved on what was a successful weekend of events, including the gigs in an cruiscin lán and the ceramic workshops with the brilliantly talented !

Our second masterpiece arrived on Saturday 30.08.2025 and we once again are truly absolutely smitten 🥰

So I'm going to take a few weeks to settle into juggling being a mammy to my two little boys. But rest assured I'll be tipping away on stuff in the background.

Thank you to everyone who sent messages and support the last while ye are amazing xXx

It's been a while since I've posted (although I've been working on things in the background)... So before I officially go on maternity leave just said I'd share this sneak peek of a recent commission.

I won't share the full image just yet as it will be part of a larger public display as part of an event celebrating 275 years since the founding of Villierstown so I'll share the complete finished piece closer to the time.

Until then check out
For details on the event happening in September

It's Thursday so that means it's time for another throwback!... With the weather outside being absolutely stunning I'm pretending I'm somewhere foreign on holiday so figured I'd share this commission from a few years back.

A mini 4"X4" canvas of a scene from 'Limone Sul Garda' in Italy using a reference photo of the client. Loved using the oil paint to build up the textures of the stone surround.

It's been a while since I've gotten to travel abroad but with weather like today it's easy to pretend I'm on holiday! It's definitely the weather for swimming, beach walks and BBQs!

Have you any nice plans to make the most of the weather today? Let me know below (I might even use your plans for ideas myself!)

I had such a wonderful night at the old bank for the official launch of the Palette X Palate exhibition curated by at .dungarvan to coincide with the .

I am super grateful to have my piece "Sharing The spoils in Dungarvan Bay" included. It was wonderful to see so many different interpretations of the brief and such a wide variety of mediums and styles by so many talented artists from both Irish and international artists.

Thank you again to for organizing and curating the whole exhibition and opening night, it was lovely to get to meet so many of the artists in person! The exhibition is over three rooms and runs until May 24th so definitely pop in for a look if you're around! I'll leave some more details of the theme of the exhibition below for anyone interested! I've also tried to tag as many of the artists as possible that I could remember so click on the photos to see who created each piece... If I'm missing any names please let me know- thanks a million!

"We're showcasing classic still-life paintings of food to beautifully composed scenes of your kitchen, utensils, and bowls. Original artworks that capture the joy of shared meals, drawings of landscapes that nourish us, close-up shots of fresh produce, and depictions of farm animals that connect us to the land. Whether it's a personal memory, a cultural tradition, or a creative exploration of food’s role in our lives, we invite you to our art table."

It's Thursday so let's do another throwback! (I don't care if Throwback Thursday isn't a thing anymore- I'm bringing it back! 😅)

So here's a throwback to 2021 during COVID times when the CBS brothers contacted me when they were unable to do a group photo of their leaving certs due to social distancing restrictions.

As an artist who tries to avoid portraits and had only been back drawing for a year after a decade of not drawing... What. A. Challenge.

With about 4 weeks to organise all the students sending in photos and then getting them done, scanned and sent off to be placed together on the final grid image.

While there were 46 students, nearly 50 portraits were done in the end... As some students decided to send on different photos of themselves after getting fresh haircuts etc. (COVID haircut drama was very real, if you remember!- my partner will never get me to cut his hair again 😂). Numerous cups of coffee and several mental breakdowns later though the project was finished! 🙌🏼

So here's some shots of a select few of the portraits some process shots as well as the overall product and newspaper article about it. The original portraits were also available for the students families to buy framed so I included a shot of one of the framed pieces being packaged up!

Hello! Some exciting news to share! The Palette X palate exhibition curated by artist is now open to the public .dungarvan 🙌🏼

This exhibition is running from April 19th until May 24th with a special artist's night on Thursday 24th April to kick off

My own piece "Sharing The Spoils In Dungarvan Bay" will also be part of the exhibit.

"Sharing The Spoils in Dungarvan Bay" was inspired by the rich history and connection the coastal town of Dungarvan has to the fishing industry. Historically Dungarvan was a small fishing village, which eventually grew in size to the town we know today. Thus making food and particularly seafood a huge part of the town's culture. This specific piece depicts a scene I witnessed while out walking early one morning. The scene of this small boat of two local fishermen being swarmed by the seagulls as they prepped their catch on board and threw the offcuts to the gulls, captivated my attention and imagination. It's comforting to know that even centuries later the local fishermen still have a strong presence and deep connection to the local landscape, fauna and sea surrounding the locality.

Are Throwback Thursdays still a thing? Well I'm doing one anyway!

Here's one from the vault! You may recognize it from my profile picture even if you haven't seen the actual piece/post before. This was one of the postcard series I did over COVID using the free postcards that were available at the time from

I actually loved painting these postcards and sending them off to friends I was unable to visit during lockdown.

This one of RollerGirl from the movie Boogie Nights was for my friend who lectures in film in UCC and was so much fun to do!

Might have to start another postcard series in the near future! What do you think? Let me know in the poll below 👇🏼
