To Our Wonderful Students and Families,

We have received many queries about our plan for September and we want to thank you each and every one of you for your continued support.

The last year and a half hasn’t been easy. We had competitions, shows and exams canceled meaning students never got the moment they deserved. We said goodbye to our fabulous studio that we worked so hard for. We then had to find new venues big enough to accommodate social distancing and facilitate Covid procedures. We worked with these venues, students and teachers to establish a brand new timetable. We all had to undergo training, invest in PPE and create new policies for classes. And in the end this all fell through. It has been an incredibly challenging year for the Arts and Entertainment industry and one that may have a long road to recovery yet.

We have truly tried our best to get back up and running this last year and a half but it is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we will not be resuming classes.

We are so proud of what we have achieved together over the last number of years and can’t fully express our deep gratitude for your business and support. The commitment, love and respect shown by everyone is outstanding and something you should all be very proud of. We built an amazing school together and those memories will last a lifetime.

From the bottom of our hearts we want to say thank you again, we will miss you all more than you know and truly hope that one day we will have the privilege of teaching your children again.

Hey Everyone,

We hope you are all doing ok. It’s amazing to see the country starting to open back up again and gives us hope of a new normal coming back to everyday life.

We are starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel and it is a great feeling. There’s a lot to warp our heads around so we won’t be running any summer camps this year but keep an eye on our Tenacity School of Performing Arts page as we’ll be posting some amazing throwbacks you won’t want to miss!

Enjoy the rest of your summer, keep up the good work - keep training, keep practicing and all going well we will see you in September!

Dear Friends and Family Members of Tenacity School Of Performing Arts,

Due to recent developments and government directive we here at Tenacity have postponed all scheduled classes until further notice. The well being of our students and families is a top priority and would like to thank everyone for their co-operation and understanding at this time.

As COVID-19 continues to be part of our daily conversations, we know that children will be talking about it too. Here are two paediatrician approved resources you can use to help them understand what is happening. Please review the materials before sharing with your children to ensure they are age-appropriate. Brain Pop and NPR are just two of the many resources out there.

In the coming days and weeks, we will continue to monitor the situation and pass along any pertinent information we gather.

We look forward to welcoming all our students back once it’s safe to do so but for now it is important we do our bit to stop the spread of this.

Hi Everyone,

I was hoping to run class this evening but with schools closing even earlier than expected today, and the storm being at its peak during class times this evening, it is now a matter of safety. Should the storm turn to red while class is running I will be forced to keep all children indoors until the red weather warning is lifted - I don't think a big gym hall is the safest place to see out a storm. It is in the best interest of everyone involved that class is cancelled this evening. Stay home, stay safe and we will see you all again next week.

We are so excited to announce the launch of our boys only acrobatics camp this summer running in Tralee, Kilmoyley and Listowel!

This camp is purely acrobatics based and will teach your boys the basics in flipping and tumbling while working on strength, balance, coordination and flexibility.

Acrobatics is the perfect foundational sport for teaching athletic skills and enhancing his conditioning and athleticism.

I can't begin to explain how proud I am of each and every student that took part in 'A Spoonful Of Musicals' yesterday. It met and exceeded all my expectations. Thank you all for your kind texts and messages it really was a show to remember.

Yesterday's show marked a very special show for all of us here at Tenacity because it was the last show for our Founder and Director O Connor. After a career spanning over 20 years, Geraldine retired this year. Her dedication and friendship throughout the years has been second to none and no doubt her teaching legacy will live on in all students and her school for many more years to come.

I would also like to say a special thanks to our Director of last night's show, Joe Burkett for his wonderful direction and guidance to the kids over the last few weeks. The show wouldn't have been what it was without you.

Thank you to the leads who did amazing in both shows, to all of our dancers from all around the county who excelled at their pieces and of course to you the parents for sending your kids to us - without them none of this would be possible.

I wish you all a wonderful Easter and I will see you all when we're back on the 29th.

Hey everyone,

We are after updating our management software here at Tenacity and AcroDance Kerry so some of you may have received an email and text message today about fees. If you haven't gotten it yet don't worry, the rest will be sent out during the week!

This system sends you a personalised email with a breakdown of fees, classes and term dates. We will not be using the 'pay online' option just yet, this system is simply to give a detailed breakdown of fees and to relay information in real time.

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and is as excited to get back to class as we are! All classes resume Monday 7th and this term is 6 weeks. I've reposted this year's term dates for anyone that's interested. See you all next week!
