Im not sure what could be more glorious than sitting in the lavendar patch and making lavendar wands on a warm July evening.
The heady scent of lavendar and fresh cut grass making me swoon with delight.
The setting sun kissing my skin.
I don't even care about the horseflies landing and feasting on me. I just swat them away and continue weaving.
Its too beautiful a time to be distracted by such nuisances.
My heart is full.

A little experiment of mine that really came out fantastic! 😊

Willow arches for plant support and edging.

I used up the rods that were not usable for weaving. Cut them to size, bent them around a barrel, dried them to shape in the tunnel for about 8 weeks and Bam! BEAUTIFUL! Strong. Sustainable. Compostable.

Im bottling up the flavour of spring! 🌿🌸 It is the time of year when the elder is in full flower; the time of year to make elderflower cordial. There is nothing like that tastes like the stuff you make yourself ☺️ It is fantastic mixed with prosecco, or refreshing in a glass of sparkling water with crushed mint.

I had the honor of making the cord for a handfasting ceremony for some dear friends of ours. It was the first one I have ever made. It features their names, their children's names, cordage twined from dandelion stems and braids of different colors, each a symbol of a different meaning, making up a 7 strand plait. 🩷💜💙
