Key stakeholders from across the racing industry, government, local business sector, and community organisations gathered at Tipperary Racecourse this week for a progress report event on the development of the county's new all-weather track.

The event provided attendees with an opportunity to review the significant progress made to date on the landmark project, which is expected to enhance Ireland's racing infrastructure, support year-round racing activity, and deliver substantial economic benefits for the region.

Representatives from the racing sector, elected officials, government agencies, local enterprise groups, tourism organisations, and community representatives were welcomed to the site, where Andrew Hogan, Racecourse Manager, and Maurice Moloney, Chair of Tipperary Racecourse Committee, outlined construction milestones achieved and detailed the next phases of development.

Work will now commence on the new All-Weather Track, to be completed by the end of September 2027 with a view to staging a full winter race programme in 2027/28.

The main contract has been awarded to Atlantic Golf Construction (AGC Ventures Limited), based in Ballybunion, County Kerry.
