With deep love and sadness, we remember our beloved collective member Melody Chinenyanga (née Chadamoyo).

On August 6th, 2026, Melody passed away peacefully in Dublin, Ireland, in the presence of family and friends.

Melody will be dearly missed by those who had the privilege of her beautifully creative and loving presence in their lives. Her passion for bettering the community and the world around her will forever be felt and carried on by those she leaves behind. Her infectious smile will always shine in our hearts. Melody’s mastery of logistics and unwavering ability to tell it as it is will be deeply missed. May we continue to be bold, confident, and courageous in her honour.

Reposing at her home, 5 Oakdale Grove, D24 T2P1, on Friday, 21st August, from 5pm. Funeral Service on Saturday, 22nd August, at 11am in Rathfarnham Parish Church of Ireland, Main St., Rathfarnham and afterwards to Newlands Cross Crematorium.

Those attending the funeral are invited to wear bright colours in memory of Melody.

Join us next Tuesday in Rua Red for a workshop exploring Imagination and the Body, with theatre practitioners and educators Melinda Szuts and Chukwudi Okoye!

🗓️ Tuesday 16 June, 7pm-9pm
📍 Rua Red, Tallaght
📧 This is a free workshop, but please email [email protected] in advance to reserve a space.

Interested in exploring how you can use your imagination through the body?

This immersive session uses movement-based activities, games, reflections and enactments aimed at creating wholesome and interactive experiences for participants through verbal and non-verbal cues, unravelling the concept of play.

Melinda Szuts is a theatre director and lecturer in performance, and a Marie Curie Actions Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin.

Chukwudi Okoye is an applied theatre practitioner and lecturer at the Department of Theatre and Film Studies and an Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health at the Global Brain Health Institute at Trinity College Dublin.

We look forward to having you with us to move, play and explore!

We are still thinking back to this fascinating workshop with on how arts and drama methods can be used in anti-racism education, hosted by the School of Education .

Rachael’s session brought huge learnings and insight into how to create spaces for learners and participants to understand and fully engage in effective anti-racism education. We are thrilled to have shared in her hugely important and urgent research.

Go raibh maith agaibh, 💫

We are still thinking back to the wonderful weekend we had in Galway at the O’Donoghue Centre on 2 & 3 May!

Thank you to our audiences for two nights of unforgettable atmosphere and community, and to the GTF Team for creating such a special space for sharing work among so many fantastic artists. Heartfelt thanks to our post-show host for a deep diving conversation after our Sunday show, and our love and appreciation to our fantastic team for brightening each step of The Tightrope Walker’s journey to Galway✨✨

Until the next Tightrope Walker chapter!
