Dublin-based dancer/ choreographer James Greenan first garnered attention from the wider public when he created his introductory dance company “Afterlife” back in April of 2015. James spent the best parts of 2018 rebranding this new style/ image, he is back with new choreography, a new confidence and a determination that could conquer the world under the identity KLIX.
He believes we are part of a generation of youth that do not place limits on themselves. They aren't afraid to upset the status quo and know they can create without the restraints of the past. They are agents of change, driven by innovation, creativity and compassion who believe in their ability to change the world around them. They balance their forward thinking, liberal views with backward looking, old school traditional methods. They hope to inspire and connect with younger generations encouraging them to be the change in the world and they hope to do that by pushing the boundaries of Irish culture and art.
KLIX is a double entendre. The ethos of the company is to create an environment where groups or “cliques” of inspiring youth can express their desires to create, innovate and share their virtuosity. And to “click” is an integral piece of the choreographic language used in Irish dance.
