VOICE WORKSHOP with DAVID GOLDSWORTHY & MARIANNE LE TRON

2- Day weekend Voice Workshop: 13th & 14th June 2026

⁠Voice Training and Development are explored through the methodologies and techniques of the Roy Hart International Voice Centre, France. David Goldsworthy & Marianne Le Tron, senior teachers at the Centre, will conduct this 2-day workshop.⁠

They will introduce students to the techniques and exercises inherent in Roy Hart Vocal Training including diaphragmatic breathing, projection and breath control as well as focusing on the development of individual vocal range. ⁠

⁠The pedagogic approach of Roy Hart Training begins with the premise that each individual voice is unique. There is no singular established method rather the training is a disciplined exploration guided by the teacher releasing sources of energy and imagination to open the voice, to realise its potential. Roy Hart teaching workshops have been developed based on a history of more than 80 years of research, study and practice of the human voice.

Sometimes described as the most punk play of all time, Alfred Jarry's Ubu Roi was first performed in 1896. A wild comedy, it follows newly crowned Pa Ubu who terrorizes his subjects through greed and violence, sparking invasion and revolution.
Currently on until Saturday 14th March (no shows Sun/Mon) at The Factory Performance Space.

Ubu Roi by Alfred Jarry starts next week on Wednesday 4th March and runs until Saturday 14th March at The Factory Performance Space.

Sometimes described as the most punk play of all time, Ubu Roi was first performed in 1896. A wild comedy, it follows the brutal Pa Ubu as his scheming wife convinces him to murder the King of Poland and seize power. Once crowned, Ubu terrorizes his subjects through greed and violence, sparking invasion and revolution.

Oafish Papa Ubu, spurred by his shrewish wife (Mama Ubu), murders the King of Poland to seize the throne, leading to tyrannical rule and eventual chaos, forcing the Ubus to flee Poland for France amid rebellion and Russian invasion.
