Welcome to Coolera Dramatic Society’s Homepage. Coolera Dramatic Society (C.D.S.) is one of Sligo's most prolific community drama companies located in the scenic Coolera/Strandhill peninsula on the West coast of Ireland. The present company has been in existence since 1974 producing one and three act plays, youth theatre as well as presenting Sligo’s Annual Christmas Pantomime since 1979. has been

participating in Drama Festivals since 1991 and have played in theatres all over Ireland in 18 counties from Derry to Kerry culminating with appearances in 11 All Ireland Drama Festivals including winning the All Ireland confined Drama Finals in 1993 and achieving 2nd placing in the 2000 All Ireland Open Drama Final in Athlone. Youth Theatre is a very central part of the Society’s busy annual schedule with over 25 productions to date. has also performed at the Dundalk International Maytime Festival on two occasions and was invited to perform at the Listowel Writers week in 2000 and 2005. In 2000 C.D.S. was also delighted to be invited to an official reception with Ireland’s President Mary McAleese at Arus án U’Achtaráin. CDS performed in Chicago in 2007. As the Society goes from strength to strength new members are always most welcome to contribute and participate in its various productions.

We’re delighted to welcome Orla McSharry and Niamh McGrath to Kilmacowen Hall on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th June with their new comedy Medium Rare. Booking open at 071 9133289. Book early as it’s sure to be a great show!!!

Forthcoming Performances:
Coolera Dramatic Society will be performing 2 One Act Plays in July in Kilmacowen Hall (16,17 and 18) All By Myself and All By Themselves. Directed by Gerard Bellew. Further details to follow.
