** Announcement **

As part of the review we do after every Whiplash, the difficult decison has been made not to continue with Sligo Whiplash Metalfest. 2024 was the last Sligo Whiplash.

As you can understand, it wasn't an easy decision but the time has come. We have collectively decided that we have taken whiplash as far as we can & got a great run at it starting way back in 2005.

We would like to take this opportunity to 'Thank' everyone of you for your support over the years.
Special mention to Ray Mc Andrews / Darragh Kerrigan Creative / Sligo Weekender / Ocean FM Ireland / Kevin flannery & staff at the The Record Room Music Shop.

Also our Thanks to all the venues that accommodated us / All our sponsors. Every band that travelled to Sligo to perform for us, from all over Ireland and England.

To all the Sligo metalheads thank you for your support from day 1.

For those that don't know, 2025 will be 20 years, yes, 20 years since we held the very first Whiplash!!

This road started way back in '05. Alot of bands & fans have had the pleasure of attending, performing & supporting us in the North West.

Lets make Whiplash '25 a party to remember, eh...
