This young animator, seen as being of strictly average skill by his peers, set up his own animation company in 1920. He got by by living off baked beans and handouts from charity while trying to make it a success, but despite his best efforts the company fell into bankruptcy in 1923.

He could easily have given up then, but he didn't. His name was Walt Disney. He would go on to win 23 academy awards and revolutionise cinema. When you have a genuine vision, dont give up on it easily.
