Over the past three weeks we welcomed over 200 husband primary school children into the into the The Hyde Bridge Gallery, to view the exhibition iúl an exhibition by artists Lucy Goodier and Maggie Kilcoyne.
A big thank you to all the teachers and students that took part, to artists Vivienne Byrne, Lucy Goodier and Maggie Kilcoyne who ran the tours and workshops, to Yeats Society Sligo, Ireland building staff for all their assistance.
After 21 years the Primary Colours programme comes to an end. It started in the The Hyde Bridge Gallery, building all those years ago. Over the 21 years, the Primary Colours programme has worked with thousands of Primary School children, giving them an insight into the creative world of artists work and hopefully fostering a love of Art in young minds.
A heart-felt thank you to all the artists that worked on the programme over the years. We are so lucky to have such a wealth of Artists living and working in Sligo.

There is still one week of the exhibition to go. The gallery is open today 11am-4pm, gallery opened Tuesday to Saturday.
The programme was funded and run by Sligo Arts Service Sligo County Council.
