Congratulations to Marita O'Hanlon on her successful exhibition of new paintings. The gallery has been proud to host Marita, a talent to keep an eye on.
A few days left though, so come on into the gallery and see some lovely paintings.

Marita was the 2025 Cairde Visual / Hamilton Gallery Award Winner & is a recent graduate of NCAD Dublin.

Marita O’Hanlon, winner of the 2025 Cairde Visual Hamilton Gallery Award, presents ‘Root Fall’ at the gallery. In a series of paintings of woodland scenes, the artist explores emotional and psychological land- scapes, interpreted and transformed through the play of light and shadow.

If you are in town this afternoon do drop into us around 4pm. We are thrilled to be launching the first solo exhibition by Sligo artist Marita O'Hanlon.

Marita is a recent graduate of NCAD Dublin. Last year Marita won the Cairde Visual / Hamilton Gallery award, so it is particularly fitting that her exhibition precedes Cairde Visual and Cairde Arts Festival which opens on July 4th.

Root Fall will be opened this afternoon by a Emma Stroude, Artist and all are welcome to drop in and join in the celebration of Maritas' wonderful exhibition.
