Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre is a hub of arts activity right in the heart of Skibbereen. After 30 years in our former North Street home, our move to a new purpose-built building in 2015 has increased opportunities for access to, and engagement with, the arts for locals and visitors alike. Our two main galleries house contemporary art exhibitions that intrigue and inspire, presenting artwork by l

ocal, national and international artists. The three Artists' Studios provide space for Irish and international artists to work on site and to meet the public, and the Dance Residency brings top-class contemporary dancers, choreographers, performers and musicians to Uillinn to develop new work and present it to the public throughout the year. The vibrant and diverse participation programme enriches the visitor experience through workshops, masterclasses, film screenings, and dance and discussion platforms. Entrance to the exhibitions is free, and many of our activities and events are also free of charge. Perfect for rainy day activities, or to relax and enjoy a delicious coffee and cake in the sunny, sheltered courtyard courtesy of Sharon's View at the Uillinn Café, Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre has something for everyone. In the second awards announcement at the opening of Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre's annual Members and Friends Exhibition on Saturday 20 June, Dr. Matthew Whyte, Development Director at Sample-Studios announced the winner of the Sample-Studios Associate Membership Award.
Michelle Dalton will receive a complimentary Associate Membership for 1 year. Sample-Studios supports and sustains creative careers and practices in Cork through access to professional facilities, training, mentorship, exhibition and residency opportunities.

Monday 13 July to Friday 17 July from 11am to 3pm
A five-day summer camp inspired by the Irish festival marking “summer’s end” and will explore themes of Samhain, transition, liminality and memory.

Facilitated by Esmee O’Brien, Hetty Gazzaniga and Mich Maguire.

20 places for young artists and dancers ages 14-19
Free of charge for members of the youth programme, it's easy to become a member!!

Uillinn’s programme for Young People is part of the Creative Youth Partnership Project which in turn is part of the national Creative Ireland programme and is supported by Cork Local Creative Youth Partnership. This project is supported by an Arts Council Young Ensembles Award.

At the opening of the Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre Members and Friends exhibition on Saturday 20 June, Aileen Finucane of Cnoc Buí, Union Hall announced the winners of the Cnoc Bui Exhibition Award, selected from the exhibiting artists. Both Ayelet Lalor and Deirdre Brennan have been selected to have an exhibition at Cnoc Buí, Union Hall in 2027.

The Board of Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre is delighted to invite you the opening of the Members and Friends Exhibition on Saturday 20 June at 2.00pm by Flor MacCarthy, journalist and author.
Running annually for more than 40 years, this exhibition showcases work by artists from across West Cork and beyond at all stages of their careers.
Including over 100 artworks by professional, student and amateur artists, this exhibition really has something for every taste and budget.
This exhibition celebrates both the achievements of our artistic community and the enduring importance of the arts in the life of our region, and runs until Thursday 16 July.
