We aim to provide a platform for all types of theatre to be performed in Shannon, with an emphasis on utilising local talent and providing entertainment first and foremost to the people of Shannon. The Oakwood Arms is intended to be the focus for these productions, creating a new venue that has been sadly lacking in recent years. Ted has been involved with Drama in Shannon from the very beginning,
and was instrumental, along with Clare and Martin, in reviving theatre in Shannon previously with another Shakespeare play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, with Icarus Players. They followed this production with 5 more years of theatre, including one act plays and full three act plays. Martin directed the production of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” and a one act play “Roman Fever”, Clare directed “The Importance of Being Earnest”, and Ted returned to Directorial duties for “Abelard and Heloise”.
