Here we are working through all the different stages in the long process of making a coffin, it takes about four days to make each one, thats with the lining and the name plate (all handmade by us) here Alan is also making the rope for the toggles which holds the lid on. And Alan cuts the name plates which I paint by hand and add personal touches, every part is made with care and kindness and love 🙏 these two are nearly ready for us to deliver, which is the final part of our job. We are a husband and wife team based in the west of Ireland and we work directly with the customer, we don't supply to undertakers generally, people sometimes come and help in the making of their coffin for themselves or their loved one if they want to. We grow most of our own willow here in our fields and every rod is cut by hand. This is more than a job to us, its our life ❤️🙏
