5 newborn photography myths… that stop parents from booking a session 👶✨

Myth #1: “We’ll wait until the baby is a bit older.”
Truth: The classic newborn images are usually captured within the first two weeks, when babies are still naturally curled up and sleepy.

Myth #2: “We’ll book once the baby arrives.”
Truth: The best time to book is during pregnancy. This way, you have a guaranteed spot in my calendar, and we’ll adjust the exact date once your baby is born.

Myth #3: “My baby needs to be asleep the whole time.”
Truth: Not at all! Sleepy images are beautiful, but awake photos with those curious little eyes can be just as magical.

Myth #4: “Mum and Dad need to be well-rested and looking their best.”
Truth: If that were true, hardly any new parents would ever have newborn photos! 😊 Come exactly as you are. My job is to create a calm, relaxed experience and guide you every step of the way.

Myth #5: “I’m worried my baby won’t settle.” Trust your photographer. ❤️

There’s a reason why parents call me a baby whisperer. For the past 18 years I’ve gathered training and experience of how to safely soothe, settle, and work around a baby’s natural rhythm. We allow plenty of time for feeds, cuddles, nappy changes, and comfort breaks.
My job is to be patient enough to capture the magic in between.
