Company SJ is an innovative Theatre Company primarily focussed on the work of Samuel Beckett and which fuses Research and Performance. Company SJ are currently touring their site-specific productions of Beckett’s Rough For Theatre I and Act Without Words II as part of their project Beckett in the City. Since 2009 Company SJ’s Act Without Words II has been presented on the streets and in unusual sites in many festivals in Ireland, England, New York and most recently with Rough For Theatre I in last year’s Dublin Fringe Festival and in Tokyo. This year Company SJ continues the project of inserting Beckett’s writing into the architecture and social spaces of the city of Dublin with this Irish premiere of Beckett’s prose piece Fizzles. Company SJ collaborates closely with Raymond Keane of Barabbas Theatre Company and is delighted to be working with him again.
