🚨 IMPORTANT STATEMENT 🚨

The Lennon Festival Committee is aware of rumours currently circulating that this year's Lennon Festival will not be going ahead.

We would like to reassure everyone that the Lennon Festival is proceeding as planned and preparations for this year's event are continuing at full pace.

We are also aware that the Ramelton Re-Image public realm works remain ongoing within the town. The Committee has been engaging with the relevant authorities and contractors and will be seeking assurances from both Donegal County Council and the appointed contractors regarding their duty of care and the safe management of all active works areas throughout the festival period.

Our priority is to ensure that festival attendees, volunteers, contractors, performers, local businesses and members of the public can enjoy the festival safely. We are working closely with all stakeholders to ensure that the necessary measures are in place to facilitate the festival while maintaining public safety.

We appreciate that ongoing works may lead to speculation; however, we want to make it clear that the festival is going ahead, and we look forward to welcoming everyone to Ramelton for another fantastic Lennon Festival.

Everyone at the Lennon Festival is deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear of Moya Brennan’s passing. Her loss is felt not only across the music world, but especially here among all of us who had the privilege of welcoming her to Ramelton.

We were truly honoured to have Moya open the festival in 2024, and it was a moment that will remain very special to us. Her presence, warmth, and extraordinary talent brought something magical to the stage and left a lasting impression on everyone who attended. She shared her gift so generously, and her performance was a highlight that will always be remembered.

Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her. Moya’s legacy will live on through her music and the memories she created, including that unforgettable evening at the Lennon Festival.

May She Rest in Peace 🤍🕊️
