We are delighted to announce that The Port Art Collective is back at Forest Fest 2026!

We’ve got loads of exciting creative activities and experiences in store. This year, our area will be bigger and better than ever before, packed with creativity, music, DJs, workshops, art installations, live street art, and much much more.

Whether you want to get involved, explore something new, or simply relax, there’ll be something for everyone. We will also have a chill-out sensory area, the perfect place to unwind and recharge for anyone who gets overwhelmed during the weekend.

On Friday 19th - Portarlington will come alive with its Culture Night Art Crawl series of events. There is something for everyone with history, art, music, crafts, literature and comedy with free entry for all. The events are spread across locations in the town from the Library down to the Parochial hall and back to the Anvil and to make it even more special we are welcoming a delegation from the French town of Redessan which is twinned with Port!

A few of the events are noted below:

Talk at the newly renovated Portarlington Train Station with Liam Murphy
The Pipe Organ: Works and Pomps with Larry "Doc" Fullam (please book limited space - 0872532999)
Presentation from Graphic Artist David Butler
Incredible local Music & Buskers including outdoor DJ box with Filip & Dave
Portarlington Concert Band
Comhaltas & Burbage Irish Dancers
Crafty Dreams & Brat Bhride
Local Art, Photography and Crafts will be on display in the Parochial Hall
History Talk with David Orford from Portarlington Museum
Tim Mathews - Videos and Photos from Portarlington History
The evening will wrap up with a Free Comedy Night at the Anvil which is celebrating its Anniversary Weekend!
Mount Henry Art Studio in Killenard

There will also be a Guinness & Mussels event in O'Deas pub earlier in the day courtesy of Al's Fish Shop to get you ready for Culture Night!

This year, we are very lucky to have two incredible Irish comedians bring their Edinburgh shows to Portarlington. This is long-form work you don't normally get a chance to see outside of a Fringe Festival or a tour of theatres, and we’re getting two of them!
