The Porlaoise Sportlight Sessions is an open-mic event that runs monthly in the town of Portlaoise in Co. Runs like a regular open-mic but restricted to original material only. We have poets, songwriters, and other artists who come to share their work in a friendly environment and meet other artists.

It's time again for our open mic especially for songwriters and poets in the Dunamaise Arts Centre on Tuesday the 26th of May at 7pm until 10pm.

All are welcome, whether just starting writing your own material or a long time veteran of open mics, or even if you just want to listen in to local talent sharing their original songs and poems. Entry is free, there is no cover charge!

Come and share your work in a supportive environment with other artists, share your ideas, meet new people, and sing along.
