“What’s Another Year?” 2025 was a bumper year for the Dublin Legends (formerly of the Dubliners) with sold out tours of Sweden, Denmark, the U.K., Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Germany. Some venues are already sold out for 2026!

The Beach Boys MINUS Brian Wilson AND brother Carl arrived in Ireland………… for the first leg of a European Tour. Brian wasn’t well and deemed not fit to travel and Carl had been ‘detained’ for allegedly dodging the draft into the US Army who were fighting in Vietnam at the time. Bruce Johnston, however, pulled the show together by playing Bass Guitar with one hand, playing Keyboards with the other hand whilst reading/singing the Lead Vocal parts from hand written pages supported by Mike Love and Al Jardine! Dennis Wilson also came out from behind the drums and sang ‘Surfer Girl’ and ‘In My Room’ to Beatlemania style hysteria! Carl was eventually released and caught up with the tour. The brilliant Irish support bands were; The Strangers, The Vampires and The Freshmen. RIP Brian Wilson, musical genius. Sound by Audio International, Irelands Sound Engineers

‘Big in Japan’??….. Even bigger in Switzerland!!
The Dublin Legends were presented with this plaque by their Switzerland promoters on the recent German/Swiss tours. All concerts are already sold out for 2025!

‘THE SHOW THAT BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN…..LITERALLY !!

50 Years ago at 1.15pm on November 5th 1974 the Proscenium Arch in the Olympia Theatre collapsed onto the stage, orchestra pit and the stalls seating during the final Dress Rehearsal of West Side Story! Miraculously nobody was injured as the cast, crew and orchestra had just broken for lunch. Had it happened a few hours later on Opening Night there would have been mass casualties!
Like the G.P.O. In 1916 many people claimed to have been there when it happened but there were only three, Noele Donovan, a lady cleaner and myself. I alerted producers Noel Pearson and Bill Kenwright who were lunching nearby and incredibly the cast, crew and musicians salvaged what was left of the sets, sound equipment and instruments and the entire production was moved up to the State Cinema where the show opened shortly after 9pm that evening! The musical ran there for a few weeks before transferring to the Shaftesbury Theatre, London.

A Night to Remember 🎤🎸

Kris Kristofferson walked into the National Stadium Dublin with a saddle bag full or bourbon on one shoulder and Rita Coolidge on the other! It was the last gig of their European tour that hadn’t gone well. Kris, Rita and musical director Billy Swan were delighted to play to a full house of adoring Irish fans that night with Billy singing his hit ‘I Can Help’, Rita singing ‘The Way You Do The Things You Do’ and ‘Your Love Has Lifted Me Higher’ plus of course Kris singing all his hits! A night to remember with sound by Audio International, Irelands Sound Engineers.

Fb sometimes asks if you remember what you did a year ago. I remember it well, a very stimulating work to replace the electronics in the sound system in St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin. Lars Åslund did the programming of Crestron control system remotely. We did the first part in August 2022. Audio international was on the mission.

‘A Cast of Thousands’…

At the 52nd Skagen Music Festival (Denmark) the Dublin Legends were joined on stage by most of the other acts for a Grand Finale. The D.L.’s headlined the last night of the Festival.
