What a night to remember! 🎭✨

Nearly 2 weeks ago, we came together in Moloney’s Pub to celebrate an incredible season with our Pantomime family. The evening kicked off with great music from our DJ, a huge thank you to Ian for keeping the dance floor alive all night! 🕺💃

We then moved onto our awards ceremony, with winners chosen by our amazing cast, crew, and committee. A massive thank you to Jen and Tanya for organising such a fun and memorable part of the night! Congratulations to all our well-deserved winners! 🏆👏

As the night went on, the celebrations continued with fantastic live music, featuring performances from so many talented members of our cast, crew, and committee, the perfect way to round off the evening. 🎶❤️

We’re also incredibly grateful to everyone at Moloney’s Pub for hosting us and providing delicious food. Your hospitality made the night even more special!

And just like that the 2025/2026 season has come to an end. The curtain closes on this year, but we’re already looking ahead to what’s next… keep your eyes open 👀✨

And that’s a wrap on Shrek! The Panto 💚✨

As we close the curtain, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped bring this show to life. To Newbridge College for their beautiful theatre, Patrician Primary School for providing our rehearsal space, and Life Credit Union for their incredible support as our overall sponsors.

Thank you to Roisin at Showtime Costumez for the fantastic costumes, Tomás for supplying the lights, Bren for operating lights, and Conor on sound. A massive shoutout to our amazing band and pit singers, our backstage crew, and our wonderful front of house team.

To our brilliant cast, the kids dance chorus, and our dedicated committee, thank you for your passion, energy, and hard work. A special mention to Tracey on the committee, we love you!

And finally, to everyone who lent a hand, supported us in any way, and kept the wheels turning, and of course our spectacular audience, this show was only possible because of you🤍

I think you’d all agree, Caoimhe who has manned Instagram and Shauna, TikTok, have gone above and beyond for this production knocking out some seriously brilliant content.

Meet our fabulous scriptwriter, Kevin Hartnett! ✨️

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Kevin for trusting us to be among the first to bring one of his scripts to life in our production of Shrek! The Panto 💚

We would also like to wish Kevin and everyone at Malahide Musical Society the very best of luck with their run of The Witches of Eastwick, where Kevin takes on the lead role. Wishing you a fantastic run! ❤️

"Kevin is an actor, singer, director and scriptwriter, originally from Ratoath. He started out by adapting scripts for Ratoath Musical Society to localise them and write in new characters where needed, but he started writing his own pantomime scripts in 2018.

Original scripts to date include The Little Mermaid, Alice in Wonderland and Shrek after a few years off, and this year he’s putting his stamp on another classic fairytale story - Rapunzel/Tangled.. And maybe more!

He’d like to thank St. Conleth’s Pamtomime Troupe for trusting him with their show this year - his first script used outside of his hometown! Rehearsals have looked like great fun and he hopes cast, crew and audiences have a ball for the week of the show!"

A little sneak peak at our final rehearsal last night 👀

The night before opening night…

Costumes are hung, wigs are behaving (mostly), and the gingerbread woman is on standby just in case anyone takes “break a leg” a bit too seriously 👀. It’s that magical mix of excitement, nerves, and wondering where you left your script.

Last night was our final rehearsal and it truly took a village. Lights shining bright, sound keeping us on cue, backstage crew working their magic, makeup team adding the sparkle, our brilliant band and pit singers bringing the music, the cast giving it their all and bringingthe buzz, and our amazing committee keeping the wheels turning 💚

A huge thank you as well to our friends from the gospel choir who sat in as our audience and brought the energy. You guys lifted the room and got us well and truly swamp-ready!

Now it’s time for one final rest (and maybe a few nervous cups of tea) before the curtain rises on Shrek! The Panto... and we’re nearly SOLD OUT!

See you in the swamp tomorrow… it’s going to be ogre-the-top fun! 🎭✨

As the cast wraps up rehearsals, we would like to say a huge thank you to David and all the staff at Patrician Primary School for allowing us to use your facilities over the past few months. We are incredibly grateful to have had a space to call home during our rehearsals. Thank you 🫶

Now we move into Newbridge College, where set-up begins and final rehearsals with the full cast and crew get underway! 🎭
