✨We are delighted to announce our production team for 2026/27 show season!!

This is Stephanie Browne’s first year as both Choreographer and Director of our Adult Society, and we’re so excited to have her on board!

Laura Kearney is no stranger to NCS, and we can’t wait to welcome her back for another successful year filled with great music.

We’re looking forward to an amazing season🕺🏻

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our former member, Pem Stanley.

Pem made an extraordinary contribution to Nenagh Choral Society over the years, as a long standing patron, cast member, musical director, and honorary life member. Her dedication and talent have left a mark on all who had the pleasure of working with her.

In 2018, Pem returned to Nenagh for our production of My Fair Lady, joining fellow cast members from the 1974 NCS production, including Ann Khan. Below are photos of Pem both performances, along with an article written about her for our 1989 show programme!

On behalf of everyone at Nenagh Choral Society, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to Pem’s family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

May Pem’s gentle soul rest in peace. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

The Barney & Mable Award was presented to Tommy Maguire by outgoing chairperson Greg Browne at Nenagh Choral Society’s AGM last week. This was in recognition of his work on stage, backstage, on committee and as part of the front of house team throughout the years!

The Barney & Mabel Trophy was first presented to the Society in the 1990's by Derry Dolan in memory of Barney & Mabel Stewart and all they did for the society. Every year since Derry presented the trophy to the Society, it has been awarded to a member in recognition of loyalty, service and dedication shown to the society.

📢Nenagh Choral Society Announcement
Unfortunately, it has been decided that Nenagh Choral Society will not be holding a Youth Academy production this Autumn.

We understand this is disappointing for our young performers and it is a decision that has not been taken lightly. We are hopeful, however, that our Youth Academy will return next summer.

Looking ahead, the new Show Committee has made fundraising a key focus for the 2026/27 season. The funds raised throughout the year will help to ensure that Nenagh Choral Society continues to thrive for many years to come.

It is also important to note that there are several ongoing refurbishments of the Scouts’ Hall, which include upgrading the external insulation and external doors, renovation of the floors, and improving our costume and prop storage.

We would like to thank everyone for their understanding and continued support.

We are so so proud of Aine Long for receiving a nomination for Best Programme and Úna Collins, representing our fantastic Front of House team, for winning Best House Management!🔥🔥
