If you look closely at some of the hidden elements in this picture, something suggests that there may be an adventure on the cards soon. πŸ—οΈπŸ«–πŸ—‘οΈπŸͺ™

This is photomanipulative art - I was initially inspired by the scene of this tree stomp in the local woods and I wondered who lives there. I used Photoshop to add in every other element individually, experimenting with the generative feature in parts.

We love mushrooms. πŸ„ Mushrooms are magic.

The branching network of fungal mycelia transports information and nutrients within the soil. They also maintain structure of the soil and act as a sort of postal service for the Earth by physically connecting everything together. If a plant needs phosphorus, the mycelium source it and transport it to the plant, often depositing it directly inside the roots themselves.

Fungi are phenomenally intelligent and mysterious life forms that could hold the key to solving some of our most difficult and pressing environmental problems.

For example, American mycologist Paul Stamens carried out experiments on soil that had been polluted by petroleum. Just eight weeks after being inoculated with spores of the fungus, the mycelia had literally eaten the petrol: plants started germinating and earthworms returned.

Did you know that Bluebells are globally threatened, making the Irish species extra special? When we viewed the house we’re in now, there was a carpet of bluebells on the front door and truth be told, it sealed the deal, it was magical. Blue ones, pink ones, even white ones. We were gone from the house for a few days this month and when we came back so many heads have sprouted. I wondered what was fuelling them and I noticed they had help!
