On 08/09/26 we are holding our auditions and expression of interest evening for our 2027 production 'The Hen Night Ephihany' by Jimmy Murphy. This will take place in on 7:30.

👀 🔍 We are looking for:
🎭5 females for our cast (3 mid-thirties, 2 late fifties)
🤹Stage manager
🔦Backstage crew
🎚️Sound technician
🏮Light technician
🧑‍🎨Set construction & design crew
🎫Front of house

We would LOVE to see some new faces.

🎭 Why Monasterevin Drama Group?

We could tell you… but we thought we’d let our members do that instead. ❤️

For some, it’s the thrill of putting on a show. For others, it’s trying something completely different, building confidence, being creative or learning new skills.

But one thing comes up again and again - the people. The laughs. The friendships. The support. The sense of being part of something.

We come together to make theatre, but somewhere along the way, it becomes about a whole lot more than what happens on stage. 🎭✨

🎭 There’s more than one way to be part of the drama…

Some of us joined to act. Some found ourselves on stage when we never thought we would. Some discovered that our place was behind the scenes, building sets, finding props, directing, producing or helping to bring a production together in ways we hadn’t even considered before.

That’s the thing about Monasterevin Drama Group - there’s no one path ❤️

You don’t need acting experience. You don’t need to know exactly what you’d like to do. And you definitely don’t need to want to be centre stage.

Sometimes you just have to come through the door and see where it takes you. 🎭

Thank you to Rathangan Community Centre and Monasterevin Community Centre for their generosity and hospitality over the last number of weeks. How lucky both communities are to have such amazing facilities.
