๐ŸŽฌ Free Refugee Week Film Screening at Tuar Ard

To mark Refugee Week Ireland 2026, Tuar Ard Arts Centre is delighted to present a special free screening of Home: The Story of Zak Moradi, with Zak Moradi joining us in person for a special post-film conversation.

Born in a Kurdish refugee camp, Zak came to Ireland as a child and went on to build a life here through friendship, community and sport. Many people will know him through his story as a hurler, and this documentary gives audiences a chance to hear the wider story behind that journey.

Home is a powerful film about courage, identity, belonging and what it means to begin again in a new place. It also speaks strongly to the role that local communities and sports clubs can play in helping people feel welcome.
