And breathe…

Just like that, it’s done and dusted for another year, and what a year this was for Mount Temple Drama Group. Four SELL OUT nights in Tuar Ard, each one as good as the next (according to those in attendance 😜). We are so grateful to everyone who helped put the Drinking Habits Production together, which was spearheaded by Producer Larry Nugent, who kept us all on our toes!!

What can we say about our cast… perhaps Biblical is the right word in this context!! We are sure you will all agree that our fantastic cast of Michelle Donnelly, Breda Slevin, Roisin Allen, Michelle Reynolds, Mary Martin, James Casey, James Rabbitte and Donie Malone brought the house down each and every night. However, without all those who helped backstage, at the door, on the set, lighting and sound, making teas and coffees or simply just being there, we would not have been able to put on such a great show for all of you, our loyal supporters.

And so we save the biggest thank you for ALL OF YOU who bought tickets, came in to Tuar Ard over the four nights and helped us bring Drinking Habits to life!! And for those of you who couldn’t attend this years show, as the saying goes, “there’s always next year” and rest assured we will do our upmost to top Drinking Habits in 12 months time!

Finally, we want to say a special thank you to Tuar Ard Arts Centre for their incredible hospitality over the four nights, and a congratulations on their 25 years in operation. No doubt Mount Temple Drama Group will still be hitting the boards when Tuar Ard celebrates its 50th anniversary!!

However, for now it’s over and out from all of us. We wish all of you all a happy and safe Christmas period and joyful New Year, and look forward to seeing you all again next Winter in Tuar Ard.

Thanks everyone ❤️

T-24 Hours to SHOWTIME!

We are so excited to welcome you all to Tuar Ard Arts Centre tomorrow night for the first in our four SOLD OUT performances of "Drinking Habits". It has been a busy few months preparing, and we have a laundry list of people to thank for once again getting us to Tuar Ard in one piece!

A sincere thanks must go of course to our sponsors, T Murray & Sons, NCS Safety Training (Niall Slevin) and Seaspray Private.

Along with our sponsors we'd also like to thank Mount Temple Community Hall, who have for so many years facilitated us with our rehearsals, and to Priscilla and Kieran in Kieran's Shop for providing us with sweet treats during our breaks!! Sincere thanks to Ballina Costume Company for helping us source our fantastic habits, which you will all become well acquainted with over the course of the next few nights! Thanks to Heavin's Topline and Euronics, Michael Heavin Carpets and Spectrum Signs for their help with the production. Also to the Westmeath Independent and all the local groups who helped spread the word on this production.

We also want to give a special mention to Tuar Ard themselves, who celebrate 25 years in operation this year. Mount Temple Drama is proud to have been the first drama group to perform here, and we look forward to performing in Tuar Ard for the next 25 years and beyond!

Thanks to our 2025 Committee for their work throughout the year:
Honorary Presidents - Priscilla Hanevy/Kathleen Malone
Chairman - Frank O' Rourke
Secretary - Breda Slevin
Assistant Secretary - Kevin Donoghue
Treasurer - Cathal Slevin
Assistant Treasurer - Mary Martin

Finally, we would be lost without all those who have willingly sacrificed their time over the course of not only the past few months, but over the course of many years to help us bring our productions to life. This year was no different, and led by returning Producer Larry Nugent we are proud of what we have achieved since September.

We do hope you enjoy Drinking Habits, and we will see you tomorrow night! Doors at 7:30PM and Lights up at 8PM sharp. For any additional ticket information please contact Tuar Ard.
