We are very sad to hear of the passing of Elmarie Mawe, presenter of The Arts House on Cork’s 96FM.

Elmarie was a wonderful supporter of the arts and was always so generous in helping us promote arts events here in Tracton, particularly our many Tracton Music & Arts Festivals over the years.

We are very grateful for her support, enthusiasm and kindness, and she will be greatly missed by the arts community in Cork and beyond.

Our sincere condolences to Elmarie’s family, friends and colleagues.

Rest in peace, Elmarie. 🕊️

Inkwell Film Society presents: I SWEAR

FRIDAY, 14th AUGUST at 8pm

I Swear tells the extraordinary true story of John Davidson, who was diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome at age 15, during a time when the condition was largely misunderstood. The film explores Davidson’s journey from isolation to empowerment, illustrating how he embraced his identity and inspired a new, compassionate understanding of Tourette’s Syndrome. This lively, warm-hearted film is a fascinating portrayal of life with Tourette’s. While the film captures the more challenging sides of John’s experiences, it is ultimately a life-affirming story, full of humour and warmth. Rarely has copious swearing been so sweet.

Running time 120 mins
Docudrama - Biography - Dark Comedy

(This is a change from our previously advertised film for August.)

Ticket: €8 on the door
