Situated in the North West of Ireland within a rich and diverse rural landscape the Leitrim Sculpture Centre (LSC) provides one of the most comprehensive visual arts resources in Ireland. Space and technology can be flexibly resourced at affordable rates for artists, local communities and international practitioners. We support research and experimentation in both the production and display of com

pelling and challenging new work and in the acquisition of traditional and contemporary skills and knowledge. Our programme includes exhibitions, artists residencies, workshops, training, research, masterclasses, talks, symposia and additional projects that explore the local landscape and alternative and sustainable models of arts practice through trans-local networking and collaboration. Fine Art Darkroom Printing Masterclass
3 days: 10am to 4pm, Fri 27 to Sun 29 March 2026

This workshop is designed to teach the participant best practice when making darkroom prints. It will focus on working with fibre-based (museum standard) printing and is designed to teach artists and hobbyists good practice when exposing, processing, washing and storing fine art photography prints. The central focus of the course is to consider how to calibrate the exposure and processing of photographic paper in order to achieve a desired outcome. The course will cover differences between standard photographic papers and how chemistry can change the way the print looks. It will detail museum standard print washing and how to dry and store prints for archival longevity. Participants should bring: 35mm or Medium Format (120) negatives to print.
This is a masterclass, so participants need to have a good understanding & experience in the process. Not suitable for beginners.

Bio
Award Winning Photographer Peter Wilcock, has been a professional photographer all his working life, including a 30 year stint as a staff photographer on the Daily Mail, Daily Express and Star in Manchester. He is a City and Guilds Qualified Teacher of Photography and has taught at Universities in the UK including Manchester, Central Lancashire and Lancaster Universities and numerous Colleges and Adult Education centres both in the UK and Ireland.
He is now now engaged in teaching Photography and Photoshop both locally and online.

The Factory Performance Space Sligo

The Arts For Palestine Silent Auction takes place in the Factory foyer, alongside the durational theatre performance from 12-8pm. This is our second year to include the auction as part of the Arts For Palestine event at the Factory. We are delighted to again have so many stunning artworks, generously donated by renowned Irish artists. The auction includes works by Lorna Watkins, Anna Macleod, Cormac O'Leary, Bettina Seitz, Martina Hamilton, Karen Webster, Rebecca Jobson, Anna Spearman, Kate Wilson, Donncadh O'Callaghan, Anna Leask, Póilín Mc Gowan, Kate MacDonagh, Hazel MacCrann, and more.

Auction registration now open
Bidding takes place from 12pm on 13th December. To bid you must register HERE. Online registration is now open and closes just before the auction starts at 11.30am on 13th December. It is still possible to register in person after 11.30am on the day of the auction at the Factory. Bids are given in person or over the phone between 12pm & 7pm on 13th December. Latest bids are updated throughout the day on the online catalogue. Last bids are taken at 7pm on the 13th December with winning bids announced by 8pm. Successful bidders can pay directly to the Just Giving page or using paypal at the end of the auction, and take the artwork with them at the close of the event at 8pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to buy art before Christmas as a gift or investment, whilst also donating to a much needed cause. All monies raised from art auction will go to the Amos Trust A Future Beyond the Rubble appeal. This charity has been working on the ground in Gaza for many years, providing medical support, clean water, food and a mobile infrastructure for the Palestinian people and now more than ever your support is needed. The Trust will match fund all proceeds from the silent art auction and performance events.
