Join the Manorhamilton Junior and Senior Youth for their funny and collaborative new play 'Camp Nowhere! Attack of the Zombies!' in The Glens Arts Centre on the 27th of March!

With their phones confiscated and boredom kicking in, the campers at Camp Nowhere struggle without constant access to their followers on social media or scrolling mindlessly through TikTok. Little do they know what is coming round the corner…

Facilitated and directed by actor Jay Ryan (Living with a Fairy, RTÉ) and playwright Treasa Nealon. Supported by the Leitrim Arts Council and National Youth Theatre Ireland.

🔥 Audience reaction for Effigy! 🔥

‘The collaboration between a very clever author and an outstanding actor mark this piece of theatre out as worthy of the term classic.'

'A very gripping play, humorous, poignant and shocking at times. It held my attention from beginning to end. Powerfully played by actor Órla McSharry.'

'The piece deserves wide exposure and has a capacity to entertain and challenge in equal measure. No small achievement. It is hard to imagine it could have worked as well as it does were it not for the perfect synergy of Orla McSharry and Treasa Nealon in collaboration. Every detail is important in this short piece. One moment you find yourself believing a movement or a prop move is merely incidental or just stage functional only to realise that what you have been watching and experiencing are tiny motifs to bring the drama to an outstanding final crescendo. If you get the chance, go and see this work. You will be challenged but only after you have been entertained.'

See it in Hawk's Well Theatre, Sligo on 14th January!

🗓️Wednesday 26 November 2025

🎫Tickets: €18/€15
https://glenscentre.ticketsolve.com/ticketbooth/shows/873677411

Based on the infamous 1729 essay by Jonathan Swift, A Modest Proposal is a satirical comedy starring Jed Murray. Set in the boardroom of a strategic Government task force assembled to deal with challenging social issues, Johnny is a very convincing presenter who has applied blue sky thinking, shifted the mindset and has come up with a solution where everyone wins. But will the board agree with his modest proposal?
