The John Lonergan Academy is proud to announce its merger with two of our workshop schools:

Smith Boylan Academy - Leinster, Ireland
Kristin Butke Irish Dance - Southern Region, USA.

Our partnership over the last few years has grown into an amazing, loyal & supportive friendship - which is why we agree that this is the correct & most exciting move for us all, to benefit all of our dancers journeys & to become a bigger dance family.

We are so excited to introduce our new name & we will now operate as:

‘Clann Ríoga, Ireland & USA.’

We are so excited to continue this fabulous journey together, as one amazing team & dance family ✨

17ú U20 Ladies & just 4 spots off a World Medal at your very first World Championships - Iconic 🙌🏻

There have been so many ups and downs that lead to this day & by god did you work so hard for it. Missing out on Worlds last year due to injury made you knuckle down this year and make sure you were SO ready. As they say - the comeback is always stronger and this is you to a T!
You did everything you were asked, and then some…!
Such an amazing role model to our younger dancers & a pure testament proving hard work does indeed pay off, all while being a fabulous humble & caring young lady too. 🥹
You deserve all of this success & roll on the continuing journey - we are so excited to see what the next year holds.

Last class finished for our Super Six, taking to the stage in Chicago 🇺🇸

We are so very proud of the hard work, dedication & commitment you all have shown over the past few months in the lead up to this years World Championships 🥰

Of course, we are sad to say goodbye to our Globes, but they are shining bright & ready for their next owners 💫

The very best of luck to Tilly, Maisie, Faye, Ellie, Vivienne & Eabha taking to the stage to represent themselves, our school, Cork, Munster & Ireland at the World Championships. 🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍

What an AMAZING reaction and turnout to our first ever JLA Adults Class 🙌🏻🥰✨

Thank you to each and every person for coming into our class with such a positive & supportive attitude. It was so inspiring to see so many adults of all ages embrace our irish culture & be so willing to learn our amazing dance form!! 🥹

Between juggling University, placement, working a job & doing everything you physically can to make irish dancing work within your schedule, you are the biggest role model to our younger dancers. You show that sacrifice for something you love pays off & we can’t wait to see you on that stage in Chicago!!!
