Great to see that a new Farmers Market will begin a three-week trial in Lusk this month!
Since December last year, the community has taken charge of Lusk Town Team. The role of the town team is to bring to life Lusk’s Town Centre First plan. There are 28 projects in the plan, one of which is the development of a new Lusk Farmer’s Market. This will be an exciting way to showcase our rich food heritage, while also giving local food producers, crafters and artists room to grow.

The Farmer’s Market pilot will be run by a volunteer sub-group of Lusk Town Team, with the support of Fingal County Council, Lusk Action Group and Murray’s Pub. It will be run on three consecutive Saturdays and parking will be made available by Lusk Community Council in the Cottage Community Centre:

Saturday August 22 (as part of Heritage Week)
Saturday August 29
Saturday September 5

Location: Murray’s Pub Carpark
Hours 9:30am-1:00pm

You can expect local fresh produce, coffee & cakes, arts & crafts
If you are a local food grower, baker or indeed have local arts & crafts please get in touch by email [email protected]

Year 5 of Lusk Summer Festival — and what an absolutely brilliant day it was!! Every year reminds us exactly why we do this, and every year we’re blown away by our amazing community and so grateful for it. A huge thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the day, to every one of our brilliant volunteers who helped with stewarding yesterday, and especially to our dedicated Summer Festival committee, who work so hard to make the whole day happen. We have lots of thank-yous to share, and we’d really love if you took a minute to read them — it gives a real sense of the community spirit behind the festival and what goes into making a day like this possible!
A big thank you to Lusk Action Group for facilitating this project, which takes around nine months of planning, and once again to our fantastic Lusk Summer Festival committee for their endless energy, commitment and enthusiasm.
We also want to sincerely thank our generous Platinum sponsors, Progressive Credit Union Ltd, and Fingal County Council for their funding and support. Without them, the festival simply wouldn’t happen.
A big thanks as well to this year’s Gold sponsors, OLIVER and McGarrell Reilly, and our Silver sponsors, IMRO, Country Crest, Local Solicitor and AES.
Thanks so much to Bentley Bros for supplying our stage for the day!
A huge thanks to Gary from SAGAR Electrical for his professional services for the day.
Sincere thanks to all the business that provided prizes for our raffle, and to Skinny Batch for sponsoring our kid's colouring competition.
Thank you to Film Equipment Store for providing us with tech for the day.
Thanks so much to our local businesses who donated such fabulous prizes for the raffle.
Thanks a million to Nadia from Yoganamara and to Ciuin Wellness for their yoga classes.
Thank you to Round Towers GAA for the pop-up handball wall fun, and to Lusk United for the walking football and penalty shoot outs.
A very special thank you to Lusk Autism Friendly Town for creating such a lovely quiet area throughout the day for anyone who needed a little time out.
A massive thank you to all the brilliant acts who kept us entertained throughout the day — the wonderful RCCG Assembly of Praise, Rosey Stars Dancers, EBANDZ and guests, Ethan Grimes, Max Turner and Friends, Medlife Crises, Ella Clarke and the fabulous Eva Campbell. And thank you so much to Stephen Goulding, a Lusk local and our sound man, for organising all the musicians.
Thank you to our food vendors and fabulous market stall holders — we hope you all had a great day!
Thanks to Lusk Community Network, Love Lusk, whose committee members helped look after our information desk for the day.
Thank you to the scouts for their fabulous display.
Thanks so much to the staff of Fingal Mobile Library, who joined us for the day and treated the little ones to a lovely magic show.
Thanks to the Parish Council, the ICA, Lusk Community Council and the scouts for lending us tables and chairs, and to Lusk Community Council for the loan of their stage steps for the day!
Thank you to the Order of Malta crew for giving their time and for their professionalism throughout the day.
The festival really is a community effort, and that’s what makes it so special. It has heart.
We hope everyone had an absolutely fantastic day! Thank you Lusk! 💛
