🎻 String Players Wanted in Drogheda!

Play violin, viola, cello, or double bass? Our Drogheda‑based community orchestra is looking for new string players to join us. (18+ only)

We rehearse weekly in town and perform concerts throughout the year. Experience levels must be of Grade 5 or above — whether you’re actively playing or thinking about returning to your instrument.

🎶 Recent & upcoming repertoire includes:

Peer Gynt / Flying Theme from ET / The Snowman

Plus new pieces we’re preparing for our September 2026, Christmas 2026 and February 2027 concerts.

Congratulations to our friends Drogheda Brass Band for their 5th first place title at the National Brass Band Championships! Incredible! 🥳

We are delighted to announce that Drogheda Community Orchestra has been named a recipient of a MACE Community Grant, recognising the orchestra’s growing contribution to cultural life and community engagement in Drogheda and the surrounding area.

Thank you to Mace Bettystown and our lovely orchestra members for the photo op!
