The Hype Festival wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Bennett family, Lynseys beautiful Daughters, extended family and many many friends.

This photo was taken at hype festival … I asked Archie was he going to the Ros vs GAlway game the following day! He said ‘Why bother, sure we’ve already bet them twice!’ …. At the Connacht final we were robbed and I thought of Archie. But that is nothing compared to the robbery that has occurred in the past few hours…We’ve lost a great warrior and angel today. REST IN PEACE ARCHIE 💔💔💔 my sympathies to the extended Naughton family. Please support and the great work they have done ❤️❤️❤️

The Hype Festival Management are deeply saddened to hear the news of Archie Naughtons passing last week.

Our sincere condolences to his mum Paula and Dad Padraic, may Archies memory, strength and determination stay with you always x

We were thrilled to have met Archie at only a few weeks ago and were absolutely thrilled to be able to host him and his fellow youth group.

He even offered one of our team a lift in his wheelchair!!!

Well to say we are feeling blessed is an understatment. What an amazing day and night in Longford yesterday at the festival.....it was so brilliant to see so many young people smiling and shaking off those covid years!
Many thanks to all the young people, visiting youth clubs, visiting volunteers leaders and staff, to all the wonderful local volunteers who year after year give their very best and make so successful and enjoyable for young people.
To the management team who work tirelessly all through the run up to the event often having sleepless nights...well done and thank you all. It was a huge undertaking to decide to rebuild the festival and with only two months lead time it was an incredible achievement.

What a great night last night at the Volunteer meeting and briefing....always grrat to get such huge support locally from the good people of Longford. Special thank you to our event manager Martina for her professionalism and attention to detail...today is set up! Will keep you all posted on progress for tomorrows big event!
