A huge thank you to the Longford Leader / Longford Live for the excellent coverage of Longford PPN’s recent Municipal District Plenaries (page 6).

We are delighted to celebrate a significant milestone for community participation at local government level in County Longford, with Longford PPN now reaching 700 member groups. This achievement reflects the incredible commitment, energy and dedication of voluntary and community groups across the county. Congratulations and sincere thanks to every group involved for the invaluable work you do in strengthening our communities.

The Municipal District Plenaries provide an important opportunity for dialogue, collaboration and engagement between communities and local authority officials. Special thanks to Danny Lynch, Head of IT and Cian McGovern, Longford County Council and Janine Bartley, Longford Community Safety Partnership for their informative presentations and consultation.

Congratulations also to the Longford PPN Secretariat for their leadership and commitment: Tess Murphy, Eileen Finan, Rosalind Greene, Kathleen Dowd, Enda McManus, Mary Toher, Athar Butt and Breege Campbell. Special recognition goes to Siobhan Cronogue, PPN Coordinator, and Amy Leavy, PPN Support Worker, whose dedication and hard work continue to strengthen community participation and civic engagement throughout the county.

Together, we are building stronger, more connected and more inclusive communities across Longford.
