GRANTS
Recently, Ballysaggart Community Festival Sub-Committee have been allocated funding by WCCC for the Local Circular Economy Grant 2026 of €200. Thanks to some local trades people who are currently applying the finishing touches to the Book/Plant Free Swop Shop Display which will be placed in an accessible place within the village. There are also plans to put a suitable notice board in the village at a later stage.

In addition to this, an allocation of €2,000 for the Christmas Lights upgrade by WCCC via the Local Enhancement Programme (LEP) 2026 has given a much welcome boost in upgrading and adding new lights for the Christmas period from this year onwards.

All the above could not happen without the input of our community by either helping with grant applications or providing man/men power to get these jobs done. Special thanks to Waterford City & County Council and their personnel for guidance along the way. THANK YOU

FESTIVAL 2026
Please keep the diarys free as the Ballysaggart Festival 2026 will take place from Thursday, 22nd October through Sunday 25th October (Inclusive) Some of the usual events will be taking place along with new fresh events. The committee will be providing more details shortly.

There are two new DEFIBRILLATORS available to the general public in Ballysaggart. One has been placed on the external wall outside Roches Tyres Garage (P51 XRP2) and the other is available inside Ballysaggart GAA Hall (P51 EKC4) Thanks to Tina Meagher (who always maintains the battery and ensures other items are stocked in the cabinets) to you the public for your financial donations and for supporting our Valentines fundraiser earlier this year in order to upgrade. Thanks to Pat Ryan, who put up the Defibrillators. Please spread the word - Like & Share this post into groups etc in the area and other neighbouring communities.
