I am working from a photograph, Katie Taylor.. I'm slowly getting the likeness..
I don't want to get a build up of paint, so soft brush marks and lightness in touch with my in paint application.

Went up to Bay Lough yesterday to paint... And forgot my paint brushes, but that didn't stop me.. I used my fingers like I was back in primary school!!!!
It was fun, but also a great tool to use to develop your drawing skills ...

It’s not a blank canvas anymore — it’s a timeless view of Lismore Castle rising above the River Blackwater, seen from The Strand in the historic town of Lismore.

From this peaceful riverside vantage point, the castle dominates the landscape with its dramatic towers, medieval character, and commanding position overlooking the valley.

Originally established in the 12th century on the site of an earlier abbey, Lismore Castle has evolved through centuries of Irish history and remains one of the most iconic landmarks in County Waterford. Once associated with Sir Walter Raleigh and later transformed into a grand Gothic residence by the Dukes of Devonshire, the castle carries stories of conquest, nobility, and heritage within its stone walls.

The Strand offers one of the most recognisable and picturesque perspectives of the castle.
