A little studio delivery this morning 🎨.....

I collected a few of my framed pieces from a local farmer this morning —
paintings that have been out in the world and are now making their way back into the studio.

There's something I really love about seeing finished work sitting around the studio alongside paintings that are still in progress.

Some are framed and ready to find a new home…
some are waiting for their moment…
and some are still very much being worked on.

This is the reality of my little art studio — paintings everywhere, ideas everywhere, and usually a bit of chaos in between. 😂

This is where a lot of my paintings begin…

Out for a walk with Dooley this afternoon and, as usual, I came home with far more photographs than I needed. 😂

But I couldn't resist.
The old hedgerows, the berries, the broken timber, the fields disappearing into the distance, and that very Irish sky…

It's these little things that catch my eye.
I don't necessarily know what I'll paint from them yet. Sometimes a photograph sits in my phone for months before something about it suddenly makes sense on paper or canvas.

Maybe one of these will become a painting. 🎨

And honestly, this is probably one of the reasons I love being an artist — you start looking at ordinary places differently.

What’s on the studio walls… 🎨
A little glimpse around the studio this morning — where the walls are slowly filling with pieces inspired by the places I love.

From small watercolours to larger original paintings, each piece starts with something that has caught my eye… a landscape, a view, a building, a memory.

The large painting here is one of my favourites — looking out through the window across the landscape and towards Lismore Castle. It’s one of those views that makes you stop for a moment. 💚

There’s something lovely about seeing the work come together like this — original paintings, still very much connected to the places around us.

And after a busy summer, I’m feeling very ready to get back into the studio, paint more and see where this next chapter takes me.

Under the Dust of Falling Snow — a quiet winter view of Lismore Castle, captured in delicate shades of blue and soft winter light.

This watercolour is part of my Whispers of Ireland collection — inspired by the places, landscapes and little moments that make Ireland feel like home.

There’s something magical about Lismore in winter… the castle rising above the frosted landscape, bare trees and that beautiful cold Irish sky. 💙

One of my favourite pieces from my Whispers of Ireland collection — Ballysaggartmore Towers, Lismore.
