Young choirs gather at for a wonderful evening of song. Opera Workshop AD Shirley Keane hosted the evening - pictured with Sinead Hope and Jennifer Flewitt the tireless organisers of Limerick Sings and conductor extrodinaire Maire Keary Scanlon.
Getting the 2026 off to a fantastic start! Looking forward to next week for more workshops and concerts.

The Sunday Studio is a regular drop in workshop for singers. Play, act, sing in a welcoming workshop space. We ran our first session at the studios recently. Special thanks to pianist Eoin Scanlon. So much opera, so little time!!! A fascinating day at TU Dublin and the 'New Opera in the Community Symposium', the brainchild of Leanne Fitzgerald. Thanks for the invitation to be part of it. So brilliant to be in that beautiful concert hall space with so many creative, hard working opera devotees! Lovely to meet

Behind The Curtain. A fun, friendly introduction to opera with Opera Workshop's artistic director, Shirley Keane
A bit opera curious? There is an easy way to find out what all the fuss is about! Hear the voices, find out what's in those arias, feel the excitement of high stakes scenes! A couple of easy going, friendly introductory sessions and a live concert with up and coming singers from the Irish National Opera studio. Check out University Concert Hall for all the information. Starts next week 31st March.

Opera Workshop is thrilled to launch The Sunday Studio! A brand-new initiative for singers and pianists who want more than solitary practice.

We know how much time you spend working alone on your voice and repertoire. The Sunday Studio offers something different: a shared, supportive space to explore music together.

✨ Led by Artistic Director Shirley Keane, the Studio offers regular opportunities to work with professional vocal experts, directors and répétiteurs.
✨ Bring new repertoire, revisit old favourites, and develop both voice and performance skills in a collaborative environment.
✨ Designed for professional singers and emerging singers and pianists looking to build a career in classical music and opera.
