This spectacular Multicultural Music, Dance and Arts Family Event will take place on Tuesday, April 8th, with a day of rich cultural performances, food and music. Hundreds of participants are expected fill the LIT Aula Maxima from 3pm – 6pm to bask in the great food and environment. The Limerick DiverCity event is a celebration of the diversity and community spirit that

is found in Limerick. Come and share with family, friends, and neighbours the music, entertainment, dress, food, and cultural treasures from all over the world that are all right here in LIT. Let’s celebrate the Limerick City of Culture 2014 and ethnic diversity by providing events that positively showcase cultural differences. No need to hop on a plane to discover the World! Come and see various ethnic performances by Brazilan Capoeira Martial Art, Chinese Lion Dance, Nepalese and SAVYA Nepalese Rock band, Indian, Polish and Lajkonik – symbol of Poland, Latvian kids folk dance “Taurenitis”, Russians and many more...

Not to neglect the Artistic side of the event, Master Jean Ryan will run an Art Exhibition...talk about eye candy. And don't worry, children won't be left aside as our communities will provide activities for children in the form of face painting, henna tattoo and workshops plus don't miss the opportunity to win a great prize by applying to our Kids Art competition! The events food stands offer a tantalizing menu of options not only from Brazil and India but also from Nepal, Russia, Oman, Philippines, Poland...in addition to the LIT chefs and many other regional foods from various cultures. Come hungry and bring some money to satisfy your taste for food around the world. The Limerick DiverCity event is presented by Limerick Institute of Technology 2nd year Event Management Students” in support of Doras Luimni and partners from a variety of Limerick based organizations and businesses. Delighted to announce that God Knows will be performing at our Intercultural event tomorrow at the Limerick City Gallery Of Art from 4pm. Traditional Irish music by Castletroy Comhaltas; the very talented Denise Chalia and friends, and Elykia - playing a mix of Congolese Rumba and Soukous. Face painting and fun to be had for the kids.
Come early to help us celebrate Limerick's new Irish citizens as they receive their certificates from the Mayor and Doras Luimní - all very welcome!
