🎶 SINGET! Baroque magic comes to Limerick 🎶

Sun 4 Oct, 6pm | St Mary’s Cathedral

Why come? Two centuries of German Baroque brilliance in one unforgettable evening, from solemn to soaring, intimate solos to full-voiced splendour.

What will you hear? Motets by Schütz, Buxtehude, J.C. Bach and J.S. Bach, plus instrumental works by Vierdanck and Rosenmüller, all in a rich blend of voices, violins, cello and chamber organ.

Who’s singing? Ireland’s acclaimed vocal ensemble Resurgam, joined by Limerick’s own Sagittarius Hiberniensis and St Mary’s Cathedral Choir.

Why is it special? Two eight-part settings of Singet dem Herrn open and close the night: Schütz (1619) and J.S. Bach (1720s), bookending the entire Baroque era.

What makes Resurgam unique? Ireland’s premier project-based professional choir, with a résumé that includes work with Monica Huggett, Christophe Rousset and John Butt, and appearances at the Bach Festival, Lausanne.

Why book today? A one-night-only stop on Resurgam’s western seaboard tour, in a stunning venue, at just €20 / €10.
