My mother and sister taking a walk in park.

This was not an autumnal day, I am certain of it. Yet every day I am feeling such a pull towards the beautiful season of color that I have instinctively modified the colors in this picture and turned it into autumn 🍂

Still, I think it's success and I love the colors in it. Another addition to my Portrait Portfolio is finished and drying.
And another memory is immortalised. ☺️

Here's a little painting of the Cathedral seen from the road just before you turn towards old dunnes. It was a late afternoon and the light was warmer than mid day, I wanted to show that.

If you ever have or plan in the future to make a purchase of handmade goods, including art, from EU sellers then I am asking you to take a minute of your time to sign this petition.
It was written by a German seller but you can read it in English as well.
The petition asks the EU regulators to place a "de minimis" exception on new PPWR regulation that came into effect today. This regulation is currently putting on hold almost all if not every small business operating and selling in EU to EU clients.
If you would like to understand it better you can head over to my website and read my latest blog post. I hope it clearly explains the new rules in place.

Finished last night, new addition to my Portrait Portfolio. This one was a lot of fun, working over the uderpainting that was done fairly close to the intended last layer. One session and 8 hours later and its finished!

I'm working up to opening my calendar to Portrait Commissions.

Here are 4 examples of what I've been working on.

I've had this idea of painting past life events from pictures, of people and places that hold a special place in our memories. As life goes by we tend to take a lot of pictures but they all end up somewhere on the hard drive or the memory card never to be seen again.
But if we took those pictures then, maybe, the moment was worth something to us, something more than just living through it and forgetting.
I've had many moments in my life that I never want to forget. Many people in my life that are or were important and I want to preserve.

That's why I'm doing this, a labour of love, a treasure for myself, my family and friends.

So if you have that old photo that sparks memories you secretly smile about let me know. I can help you transfer them onto a solid medium.

Maybe one day we will all have walls full of painted memories worth stopping at and remembering rather than passing by and forgetting.

Escaping the storm, oil on paper

Just finished this very strong emotional piece. From day one working on it I felt like I need to get out of me all the frustration I've been holding to too tightly. The crashing waves suggest impending doom but once the painting got completed I've felt an immediate sense of relief. Like the seagull painted in, looking like it barely got away.

Life sometimes makes us feel like that, like the storm too big and to immediate to handle. But if you see it through you may just realise that it was necessary to clear a path that was hidden.

Not all storms are meant to destroy. Some are here to help you make a turn that is necessary for your life to get better.

I'm constantly drawn to the water in nature but up until recently I've never felt like i can do it justice in painting.

Not that I'm a master now but I have released my own courage and curiosity from eternal prison of judgment. And that allowed me to engage in experiments I would normally avoid.

This painting is a consequence of those experiments. More to come!
