The White Horse Story
The White Horse Sessions are a series of gigs set up to provide a platform for original artists and bands to perform to an appreciative listening audience in an intimate candlelit setting. Recent years have seen us bring our original music programme back to a dedicated stage at The Doolin Folk festival. 2017 marked our third year at Doolin which was made extra special as we celebrated our tenth year of running the White Horse Sessions this year. The White Horse Sessions was born with the goal of bringing original music back to the west coast, to showcase the finest in homegrown and international talent by giving them a platform to perform to an appreciative audience in the intimate setting that is Kenny's Bar. Throughout the years, we have had the pleasure of welcoming hundreds of musicians, songwriters and performers through our doors - some from all walks of life, both musically and geographically; some playing their very first gigs; some honing their craft and other seasoned professionals returning to their roots.
The venue is Kenny's Bar in Lahinch, North Clare which plays host to these gigs every Tuesday night during the summertime. Our aim is to bring original music back to the West by keeping it fresh, original and vital for both listener and performer alike.
